My Instructional Design Philosophy
A strong instructional designer is, first and foremost, a strong listener. In an age where we are bombarded with an excess of information but have little time to sift through the noise, adapting to learners’ needs is essential.
That’s where an ID steps in—to distill the necessary information, identify the right training medium, and deliver it in a creative, engaging way. For adult learners, this almost always means incorporating multiple forms of active engagement.
This is what excites me about instructional design in the tech age: experimenting with diverse channels and methodologies to create meaningful learning experiences. As a perpetually curious person, I also love collaborating with Subject Matter Experts from different industries. It’s a privilege to see the world through so many unique, highly polished keyholes.
I may be hired by companies, but I work for the learners.
